If at any time a problem appears to be time-urgent or life-threatening, call 911.

Health Insurance

Every student should have health insurance, and it’s always a good idea to know what area providers and services are covered by your insurance before coming to school. Please bring a copy of your insurance card with you to campus.

Concordia University offers a voluntary student health insurance plan. For information regarding coverage, rates and applications, visit WPS Health Insurance.

Student Absence Policy

At CUW, students are viewed as pre-professionals who are encouraged to contact their professors and explain any absences directly. Because of that, students will not be given excuses for missing class unless they are seen at the Student Health Center and class attendance is restricted.

Monkeypox

CUW is working with state and local public health officials to monitor the current outbreak of monkeypox.

For Monkeypox facts please click on this link: Monkeypox: What College Students Need to Know (wisconsin.gov).

Please contact the Student Health Center @ 262-243-4574 if you have any questions regarding Monkeypox.

The health center staff can assess you for symptoms or rashes and initiate skin testing if indicated. Please contact the Student Health Center if you feel that you may have been exposed to active Monkeypox. While the Student Health Center does not provide on-site vaccination for Monkeypox, we can assess one’s risk and refer to public health should vaccination be warranted.
