—ABOUT THE SPEAKER—

Timothy R. Sheehy is president of the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce. MMAC represents over 2,000 businesses, serving as the region’s board room in pursuit of a globally competitive economy that fosters high-value jobs to sustain a vibrant quality of life for all.

Sheehy also serves as Chair of the Milwaukee Economic Development Corporation. He was appointed by Gov. Evers as Chair of the Southeast Wisconsin Professional Baseball Park District Board and Gov. Walker to the State of Wisconsin Investment Board. He was the founding Board Chair of Rocketship Community Schools. He also serves on the Boards of Milwaukee College Prep, Reagan High, City Forward Collective, Teach for America, School Choice Wisconsin and the Badger Institute.

He is past board chair of the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives and past Treasurer of Summerfest. He has an Honorary Doctorate in Humanities from the Medical College of Wisconsin. He has been appointed by three previous Governors to Chair various state commissions.

Prior to joining MMAC, Sheehy served Congressman F. James Sensenbrenner as a legislative assistant, and was the recipient of a Lyndon Baines Johnson Congressional Internship. He is a graduate of the Institute of Organizational Management, and a Certified Chamber Executive. Sheehy graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a bachelor’s degree in political science and was a scholarship athlete for UW’s baseball team.

He is married with three children.
