Come meet us in the Courtyard Conference Room to hear from former missionary Emily Belvery, who worked in Taiwan before returning to the US to build church partnerships for Mission of Christ Network! Learn about what possibilities you have to serve abroad after graduation and how you can support those already serving overseas.

This is a FREE event.

SPEAKER BIO:

After graduating from Concordia Nebraska with a degree in Secondary Education, English, and theology, Emily served as a mission partner in Asia with MCN for six years. She spent two years teaching English and Bible classes in Chaiyi, Taiwan; two years studying Mandarin and working with a church in Tainan, Taiwan; and another two years serving two English-speaking congregations elsewhere in Asia. Since returning to the US in 2020, she is grateful for the opportunity to continue partnering in Gospel proclamation work and to stay a part of the MCN family.

Emily works to connect churches and individuals with needs in the mission field through recruitment, communications, and resource development.

Emily and her husband live in Nebraska where Jacob is an English teacher. They welcomed their first child, a daughter named Nora, in May 2021.

In her free time, Emily enjoys reading and writing, biking, watching college basketball, drinking coffee, and having deep conversations.

MISSION OF CHRIST NETWORK:

Intentional Gospel; Proclamation: Reaching the World

The mission of Christ Network is a Christian outreach organization, grounded in a Lutheran understanding of mission, that enables lay workers to effectively work in God's mission cross-culturally. Individuals trained, sent, and supported by MCN discover their place as God's instruments of witness and love at home and abroad.

And you will be my witness in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.

Acts 1:8
