SPEAKER BIO

A native of Lake Wales, Florida, Vin Baker grew up in Old Saybrook, Connecticut and attended Old Saybrook High School. He attended the University of Hartford and was the #8 overall pick of the Milwaukee Bucks in the 1993 NBA draft. He played basketball professionally for 13 seasons and was an Olympic gold medalist with Team USA at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. Vin is currently an Assistant Coach with the Milwaukee Bucks. Vin is also an author, releasing his memoir, “God and Starbucks,” in 2017.

Not only is he known for being a four-time NBA All-Star and a compelling author, but Vin Baker's journey is also comprised of personal battles, and a triumphant resurgence rooted in purpose. More than just a dominant force on the court, he bravely navigated the shadows of addiction, emerging with a clarity and resolve that he has channeled into his greatest achievement yet, his own BOUNCING BACK FOUNDATION, and opening the doors to his first recovery center in Milwaukee in 2024.

Today, he channels that profound experience into a new, equally impactful calling: a tireless advocate for recovery. He continues to prove that championships are not just won in arenas and stadiums, but in the quiet courage of personal transformation and selfless dedication to uplifting and helping others.
