Campus-wide mask mandate remains in place

March 31, 2021

Wisconsin's state mask mandate had ended, but ours will continue until the semester's end

Dear Falcon Family,

The Wisconsin Supreme Court struck down today the statewide mask mandate. It is important for you to know that local mandates at many area businesses and within many Wisconsin communities will remain in effect.

Our campus-wide mask mandate also remains in effect at Concordia University.  This includes all campus buildings and classrooms, as well as common spaces in the residence halls such as hallways, lounges, bathrooms, and other public spaces. Masks should be worn outdoors when you cannot adequately distance yourself from others.

Concordians, we are within weeks of the end of the semester. Your personal diligence and commitment to our COVID mitigation protocols are the reason for our success.

We will not alter or change any existing protocols prior to the end of the semester. COVID capacity limitations, the daily symptom tracker, mask wearing, physical distancing, and frequent handwashing continue to be proven ways to reduce exposure to the virus, keep our community healthy, and keep us together on campus.

As of today, we have only 3 positive active COVID cases within our Wisconsin campus community. Thanks be to God!

As you prepare to return home over the holiday weekend, we encourage you to be mindful of choices you make. Together, we will finish this incredible year, Concordia strong.

Most of all, we pray that your Easter worship and celebration fills you with great joy, which is ours always in Christ.

Sincerely,

Steve Taylor, Ed.D.
