Student Government Association's annual Dancing Through the Decades event refund

May 18, 2020

A partial SGA fee refund will be credited to each student paying the fee, in place of a Dancing Through the Decades ticket refund.

Dear CUW Students,

Prior to the university’s departure for Spring Break, the Student Government Association announced that its annual Dancing Through the Decades event would be cancelled as a result of the growing concerns surrounding Covid-19. In that communication, we outlined a plan to refund students for their tickets upon our return to campus following Easter Break. The developing situation, however, did not allow SGA to carry out those refunds as initially planned.

After much deliberation, SGA’s executive leadership team determined that a partial Student Government Program Fee refund to each student paying that fee would be the most appropriate course of action. As such, the partial refund will be administered in place of a Dancing Through the Decades ticket refund. We believe that such a resolution is both reasonable and within the resource limitations of our student-led organization. This refund will show up as a credit to each student’s account in the same fashion as the room and meal plan refunds provided by the university. Please feel free to reach out via email at sga@cuw.edu or directly at tanner.hill@cuw.edu should you have any questions.

SGA appreciates your continued patience and understanding during this time of great uncertainty, and we look forward to serving you into the future. It is our greatest pleasure carrying out our mission to enhance the CUW experience in a Christ-like manner through respectful student advocacy, responsible resource allocation, and reliable organization transparency. In conclusion, we wish you a blessed summer and pray on each of you good health and God’s grace!

God bless,
Tanner R. Hill
Interim President
Student Government Association
