Program Overview

The increasing complexity of construction projects due to regulations, laws, risk management, and technological advances are increasing the demand for managers with specialized knowledge in the industry. Through our bachelor's in construction management program you will learn the expected standards for construction and trades materials, safety, energy efficiency, environmental protection, and mitigating potential litigation. Sophistication in building materials, construction methods, and technologies is needed to repair and expand infrastructure.

What to Expect

Our construction management program allows you to complete your degree online through accelerated virtual courses with weekly meeting times, granting you the flexible schedule you need to continue working while you learn. New courses enroll every 8-weeks, and our generous credit transfer policy means you don't have to miss out on the credits you've already earned during your associate degree or military service.

Through Concordia University Wisconsin's bachelor's in construction, you will:

Gain knowledge of a variety of methods of professional communication (orally and written) for construction and trades audiences
Recognize legal, ethical, and safety issues and apply professional and Christian standards in decision making and problem-solving while minimizing risk
Apply modern methods of electronic technology, cost estimating and control, project scheduling techniques, and project management to the chosen field
Learn field inspection techniques and safety standards while maintaining high-quality assurance and control
Navigate organizational dynamics, including leadership and employee development as relevant to construction and trades organizations

How to Apply

You may apply at any time as Concordia operates on a rolling admission basis with new courses beginning every 8 weeks. Applications will be reviewed until about two weeks before the start of the next eight-week class session.

Steps for program admission:

Submit your accelerated online application.
We help guide you through: You will receive communication from your helpful Admission Counselor about next steps, entrance requirements, and how to submit application materials.
Review entrance requirements and submit admissions pieces:

Cumulative undergrad GPA of 2.00 for previous college credits from regionally accredited institutions for full acceptance. *If GPA is lower than 2.00, students may be accepted conditionally based upon additional requirements.
Official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions must be sent to CUW Admission, 12800 N. Lake Shore Drive, Mequon, WI 53097. If less than 60 college credits, an official high school transcript or proof of GED is required. *Standardized test results are not required.

Acceptance! When your application file is complete, it will be reviewed by the admission committee and you will be notified of entrance status.
Schedule Advising Appointment: Once admitted, you may schedule to meet with your Academic & Career Advisor who will review your degree plan, discuss orientation steps, the CUW student portal, and assist with registering for classes.
Fill out application for Uncommon Scholarship if you qualify.
