Building a network of pharmacy professionals is a strategic investment in a student’s career and the profession as a whole. We encourage students considering a PharmD from Concordia to engage with our faculty, staff, current students, and alumni. We hold several events throughout the year for high school, undergraduate, and graduate students to network with us and learn about our mission and offerings.

Jumpstart to Pharmacy is a series of workshops designed in collaboration with the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Milwaukee for high school juniors and seniors, taught by faculty and students from the Concordia University Wisconsin School of Pharmacy. These workshops offer students the opportunity to enhance their understanding of medicine and acquire practical skills in medication management, which are relevant to careers in pharmacy or healthcare. Workshops will be held at specific dates and times at Boys and Girls Club Sites, Concordia University School of Pharmacy, or participating High Schools. Students who complete the approximately 20 hours of workshop instruction will be acknowledged with a micro-certificate that may be used as a credential for pharmacy-related employment through Wisconsin Youth Apprenticeships or to demonstrate their highly relevant educational experiences in application to college healthcare degree programs. If necessary, due to resource limitations, priority will be given to participants interested in Youth Apprenticeship employment opportunities.
Program Goals: Participants will have an increased understanding of…
- pathways for healthcare careers with a focus on medication therapy,
- careers in pharmacy: technicians and pharmacists, and
- Skill development for medical and pharmacy/pharmaceutical labs.
Registration for workshops is available in fall, spring, and summer.

Where is our pharmacy school?
As they say in real estate, 'location, location, location,' and we think ours is pretty special. Our campus is located in Mequon, Wisconsin, approximately 20 miles north of Milwaukee, a top-rated Midwest city. Additionally, the campus is situated on the shores of Lake Michigan.
This excellent location allows us to hold experiential learning at Aurora, Ascension, and Froedtert hospitals and clinics. There are also numerous opportunities for students and faculty to volunteer pharmacy services to individuals in the surrounding communities.
Getting to campus
All campus visits take place in the School of Pharmacy (PH) building. Transportation to campus and the surrounding areas, as well as lodging, will need to be arranged independently. Parking is free and available in lots E, C, F, or H. If available spots cannot be found, parking is also available in lot J.
